Outcome

Outcome
Who shall forget his beloved ones
I too can remember mine thus.
When that day
Donkeys barked like dogs
And dogs brayed like donkeys;
Guzzling vultures
Gazing owls
Red rains of the grey sky
Pale dust and fallen foliage
Once turned sticky sludge
Smokes everywhere
Shells here and there
Undump bodies under.
The massacre of learning insanity
For terms that never exist
“Freedom”, “Democracy”, and “Equality”
So much feud and brutality
We’re undone let’s admit.
We wasted people
We wasted time
Only crawling babies, crippled hags
Palsied elderlies that have survived.
No youth, no fun, no beauty
Outcome of learning insanity.
The ‘terms’ again favor the powerful
We remain cheated and fooled
Know not why we lost everything
But for Timbuktu we’re still singing.
