Some notes on his 44th birthday

Now it is 44 since I joined the drama of this world. I am trying to act my role as much as possible to extent nobody can copy it except may be my kids. I have been climbing the mountain so far and it is also oblivious that the road shall go downhill very soon. Whatever the topography I put my footstep, I enjoy the ride and I also enjoy the company of all the people I came to know on board. Last but not least just to quot someone I admire from the literature world:

“I was brought up to respect my elders, so now I don't have to respect anybody.”

You’re 100% Habesha if:

1. At the airport, you are accompanied or received by at least three people.

2. You have sworn to eat Injera in every corner of the world; whatever the cost you will find a means to smuggle it, if forbidden.

3. You always sit closest to the door of your host inviting you to his/her house for the first time.

4. You cannot mingle with other races as long as there are other Habeshas around you.

5. You constantly confuse between “yes” and “no”.

6. You keep collections of plates and glasses in your living room that you will ever and never serve; and also your kitchen is full of things you barely use.

7. You have pictures of dead people on your wall along with the living ones.

8. You are punctual only for one business; no kidding with funerals.  

9. You dare to sacrifice even your life to run away from your country; but when you succeed to do so, you immediately get home sick.

10. You keep on talking after someone says goodbye.
